Our World…Earth!
June 27, 2015Blog
During our 2nd week of summer preschool we learned about our WORLD!
We used our globe to see how the world rotates all the time and so it’s always moving even though we can’t feel it. We pointed out different places and countries around the world and noticed how much of the world is made up of water!
For our project, we worked on fine motor skills by writing letters and painting the Earth! They did a great job!
We learned that the Earth orbits around the sun and that the sun does not move! This can be a tricky concept, but some hands-on learning helped!
Afterwards, we made a smaller model that the kids got to take home!
The children were enthralled with this interactive world game!
Working on puzzles together after snack time.
Exploring and playing together during centers! Centers are an important part of our schedule which encourage independence of choice, social skills, and cognitive development.
Plants are an essential part of our world! The children love to help water the plants during our outside time! They are great helpers and really enjoy seeing the plants grow!
Cute girls playing together while enjoying the shade!
Good friends are made at preschool!
Summer is a great time to continue learning!
