Growing up in Vancouver, Washington, Synthia always wanted to be an elementary school teacher. She studied Education at Brigham Young University until she took an Intro to Human Development course and fell in love with the subject. She felt that it gave her a greater potential to understand others and impact their lives. Synthia lived in Mexico City for eighteen months as she served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been married for 3 years, and has one son. They enjoy camping, hiking, and roadtripping across the United States. As a family of three, they have already traveled to 23 states together!
Synthia has a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies: Human Development from Brigham Young University. She has also taken several courses in Education and Spanish.
